Having been raised in a single-family household and hailing from a first-generation immigrant family from Mexico, my experiences have shaped my passion for educational equity and empowerment.
With three children all passionately immersed in the field of education, two of whom have found their calling as special education teachers and one aspiring to become a school psychologist, I am deeply intertwined with the field of education. My family's firsthand encounters with the challenges of the educational system, particularly when it comes to special needs and diverse learning needs, have fueled my determination to amplify voices that often go unheard.
My personal experiences and children's pursuits enable myself to provide invaluable guidance in shaping our non-profit's vision. My involvement as a board member embodies my unwavering dedication to promoting inclusive and accessible education for all.
