What is a Non-Public School?
According to the California Department of Education (CDE) a Non-Public School is a “specialized private school that provide services to public school students with disabilities. EC Section 56034 defines an NPS as a private, nonsectarian school that enrolls individuals with exceptional needs pursuant to an individualized education program. The tuition of a student enrolled an a Non-Public School is paid for by the local school district that places the student at the NPS based on the student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Unlike other private schools, each NPS is certified by the CDE.” As a Non Public School we do not accept private payments by parents for tuition or any other services.
